CivilPro uses Azure database services. The performance of your database is dependent on a number of factors such as :
- the number of users,
- whether they use desktop or web
- what functions each user uses - especially computationally expensive ones like lot summaries
- whether users focus their use at specific times of day
- the size of the projects
To keep the costs to our Clients to a minimum, we start at the lowest cost tier (S0) and monitor how the database handles the loads they apply. Our approach is to try and match users to the lowest cost resources, and as their needs increase or performance issues arise, recommend higher tier resources ( S1, S2, etc).
If you notice that the speed performance of your database has become quite slow, it is probably time to upgrade your database to the next tier.
Please contact us and we can check your database usage and performance, and suggest an appropriate upgrade as well as providing you with the quote for the upgrade.
