Data deletion in CivilPro should be managed very carefully by Administrators. One way to manage this is by using User Roles which limit the users' permissions to delete data in CivilPro.
Once your data is deleted, you'll not be able to reinstate it straightaway. Our team can help you recover your deleted data but there will be a fee applicable. See this article : Can I recover my deleted data?
Instead of deleting the records, use the status update feature in your register to close off records or to indicate the records are not longer valid. In that way, you'll always have an audit trail of any record that has been created.
Tip: You can always use the Custom View tool on your register to view only the active records and filter out the closed off records.
In some sections, such as the User register, you have the option to deactivate the user which allows you to view any records previously updated or created by this person. If you delete the user, the user's profile is completely removed from the database and you won't be able to see the user's name in the records previously created and updated by them.
