Site Diary

What is a Site Diary?

A Site Diary is a journal of daily site activities, including instructions issued or received, resources used and any HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) incidents.

In CivilPro, the Site Diary provides the tools to capture the following information:

  • Activity Summary – an overall description of the daily site activities
  • Instructions – instructions either received by clients or authorities, or given to subcontractors, suppliers or employees
  • Costs – costs associated with resources such as plant, labour, materials and/or subcontractors
  • HSE - Health, Safety and Environment incidents or near misses
  • Photos – option to upload site photos to support recorded activities and incidents

What is the Purpose of a Site Diary?

A Site Diary can be used to record and monitor daily site activities, capture evidence for approving payments, manage compliance and ensure accountability, identify any issues and provide instructions if required.

How to Set Up?

You can create your Site Diary on the Site Diary register, under Field.

Add Site Diary (D)

Tips for Users:

  • When you add instructions and HSE incidents in your Site Diary, they’ll also appear in the Instruction and Incident registers respectively.
  • The “Review Diary” and “Remove Diary” tools allow review of the diary and can be signed off and documented, or have the review removed if required.
  • The diary ID or number is automatically assigned by default; however, this can be edited if necessary.
