An Administrator can deactivate a user or change a user into a contact. Rather that deleting a user which removes all traces of the user from your project records, you can remove a user’s access to a project by deactivating their profile or demoting them into a contact.
Deactivate a User
1. After logging into your Project, click on the Settings icon (fourth from the left) on the main tool bar, and select “Users”.
2. Select the user, enable editing and tick the box under the “Inactive?” column.
Note: To activate the user again, just untick the box.
Change a User into a Contact (Demote a User)
1. In the same register, select the user and click on “Demote User” on the top toolbar. Click “Yes” in the dialog box to confirm demote.
Note: Once a User is demoted to a Contact, they will no longer be able to log in to CivilPro.
