The Grid Menu is context specific meaning that this shows functions specific to the current register. The left side shows buttons most commonly used in the current register and on the right side is filtering options for the register. Most Grid Menu's in CivilPro Cloud also allow for grouping by clicking and dragging the headers.

Context specific buttons

These buttons are made up of menu items which typically include:

  • Adding a new item - also referred to as the "action button"
  • Other relevant options such as for Lots: Conform Lots

Filtering Functions

Civil Pro Cloud has a range of filtering, searching and grouping options that make sorting through your data easier.

Register View

mceclip13.png

The register view is where the majority of data is represented. Most registers consists of a grid except for the simpler registers, being a grid view allows the user to quickly see relevant information and adding and removing columns.

New Features

The big change for CivilPro Cloud is that information cannot be edited in the grid to prevent accidental editing so all of the editing is performed in the respective detail views.

Another new feature in CivilPro Cloud is the detail row viewer, designed to make navigating easier for tablet users. This detail row typically has three options:

  • Detail
  • See Related Data
  • More

CivilPro Cloud has tried to enable a one touch details views meaning that if you click on the register items unique identifier (typically i.e. Lot Number, Approval Number, Test Request Number, etc) allows you to quickly access the detail page. This is signified by being a blue and underlined text showcasing that it is a link to the detail page.

CivilPro Cloud now has a new and improved way of dealing with several items at once by introducing checkboxes, allowing a simplified way of selecting several items and performing certain actions on them.

Same features as CivilPro Cloud with improvements

Sorting

To sort a column in the grid, simply click on its header title. Click again to change the sort direction.

Filtering

Filtering is now performed in the search box where you can simply click the box and input your relevant filter, Civil Pro Cloud stores your latest filters as well as most common filters, allowing simple filtering with just one touch. If you need advanced filtering options, simply click the advanced search button placed on the bottom of the search box dropdown.

Additional Columns

By default, the grid only shows a subset of the available information for each record. Any field that can be added can be added by accessing the context menu options for the grid and clicking the column chooser. When the column chooser menu is open, simply drag the relevant column to the grid header.

Views

Civil Pro allows access to custom views. Currently views are pre-defined views based on certain areas pertaining to a specific subset of data.
