CivilPro offers robust support for SAML, providing a secure and streamlined authentication method for our users. This support enables single sign-on (SSO), allowing your teams to access CivilPro using their existing corporate credentials. For organisations with strict security protocols or large user bases, SAML offers significant advantages in enhanced security, simplified user management, and compliance with corporate IT policies.
Below is an example of the API address and SAML URL that will be used:
- API address example: https://{customer}.civilpro.com
- SAML URL example: https://{customer}.civilpro.com/api/account/samlconsume
What we need from you?
The customer needs to setup a SAML endpoint and assign users to it as per Enable SAML single sign-on for an enterprise application - Microsoft Entra ID. Once setup, we require the below:
- SAML Endpoint URL - this will look something like https://login.microsoftonline.com/{{mySamlId}}/saml2 or your custom SAML domain

If you use token encryption, you also need to provide us the associated certificate
After you provide this, we upload the certificate to your CivilPro Azure web app service and configure our deployment profiles with your SAML thumbprints.
What are the costs?
The cost for SAML configuration is due to the real costs for CivilPro in creating and maintaining this authentication layer in our application. We add it specifically to users that require SAML, rather than spread it across those users with simpler authentication models.
To enable SAML authentication on your CivilPro database, CivilPro developers need to configure this in our deployments, add certificates to your services (and re-issue them) and provide ongoing support.
There are two parts to the SAML cost - first is the original configuration. This is where we set it up, configure deployments and do the back and forth to get it configured in your Entra environment. Second is the annual subscription cost that contributes to the support and maintenance of the functionality, as well as any incidental work such as certificate renewal (when you send us a new certificate).
Cost breakdown:
- SSO/SAML Setup Fee - $500 + GST
- SSO/SAML Subscription - $500/yr + GST
