Add Test Properties

A Test Properties register allows a list of preset property groups to be set up and can be applied to Test Requests.  The Test Property register is set up before a Test Request is generated. 

 

This process shows you how to : 

1) Add Test Properties Manually 

2) Import from Repository/Other Project

Method 1: Add Test Properties

1. Under QA Setup, select “Test Properties”.

2. Click on “New Test Property Group”.

3. Enter the Property Group Name.

Click on the “New Test Property Field. Enter the details for both the “Property Field Name” and “Default Value” as shown below. Click on the "Tick" icon to confirm.

Click on the “New Test Property Field” again to add a new line (drag to reorder the lines).

Once all property fields have been added, click “Save”.

4. The added Test Property can now be viewed in the register.

Method 2: Import from Repository/Other Project

You can also import selected Test Properties from the repository of other projects where you have previously added Test Properties.  

1. Under QA Setup, select “Test Properties”.

2. Click on the “Global Action” icon and select “Import from Repository/Other Project”

3. On the top left corner, click on the small inverted triangle to open the dropdown list of Projects, and select the Project that you are importing from.

4. Select the Test Properties to import by ticking the boxes next to them. Click “Save”.

5. Once imported, you will be able to view the selected Test Properties in your register.
