Statusing Quantities (D)

This process shows you how to status Quantities based on the percentage of work completed so that they can be compiled into a Progress claim.

In the Quantities register, the type of quantity (i.e. Lot or Floating) determines how the status of each quantity is updated.

Lot Quantities are, by default,  based on the percentage of the Lot completed, however they can be manually overridden. The percentage complete for a Conformed or Guaranteed Lot is always 100%, and  0% , by default, for an Open Lot. Generally, the percentage complete for Lots is updated via the % complete column in the Lot register.

The percentage complete for Floating Quantities is always manually updated, as they are not linked to Lots.

3. To update the "% Comp" column, select the Quantities item and click on the "Enable Editing" icon on the bottom toolbar. Click on the "% Comp" field of the selected item to update.

The % complete columns for Lot Quantities are updated automatically based on the Lot % completed values from the Lot Register. However, in some exceptional cases, these can be overridden manually and when that happens, the Quantity item will be coloured orange on the register.  (To undo the override and go back to Lot % complete, go to the "Operations" tab, and click on "Revert % compl to Lot %").

Floating % complete values are coloured orange, just like overridden Lot % complete values.

Notes : CivilPro will calculate Effective Quantity using the following formula:

Effective Quantity = Quantity * Effective % Complete * Reduced Payment Factor * Non-Claimable

For more details on what Effective % Complete, Reduced Payment Factor and Non-Claimable mean, please refer to the  "Quantities Register" article.
