Upload Files to Filestore

In CivilPro Cloud, you can upload and build a central repository of files that are relevant to your project and all the authorized users will be able to access these files and attach them for Approvals, NCR, etc.

Note:

  • File size limit is 100mb for Web app, Desktop doesn't have this limitation.
  • Too many large file size documents in your register can slow down your system performance, your report generation for linked lots e.g. Lot Conformance, Summary, Folio, etc., and incur a small additional monthly cost should significant amounts of data accumulate (CivilPro Team will reach out if storage is getting close to this point).

1. Under Document Management, select “Filestore.”

2. Click on “ADD FILE”

3. Select the file from the folder and click “Open” or use the drag and drop option.

Note: File size limit is 100mb for Web app, Desktop doesn't have this limitation.

4. Once the file is fully uploaded, a green tick will appear. Click on the X sign to close the dialog box.

5. To attach the document to an item in your other QA registers, click on the “Chain” icon on the right panel, and click on the + sign next to the item.

Note: You can also find the “Chain” icon on the other QA registers and attach a file from the Filestore when creating a Lot, Approval, NCR, etc.

Rename Linked File from Other Registers

You can also rename your linked file without having to navigate to the Filestore register. For example, you would like to rename a file linked to a Lot. You can do it from the Lot Register.

On the register, select the item that is linked to your filestore document. Next, click on the "Related Items" icon, and under Filestore Documents, click on the ellipsis menu next to the file you wish to rename.

Type the new filename and click 'Save'.

Note: You might notice the file number on the Related Items panel suddenly changes after the update, however, this is only temporary. If you refresh your screen, the original file number will resume. The rename DOESN'T change the file number.
