Contacts are persons who may be assigned responsibility for items in CivilPro or may have documentation otherwise associated with them, but who do not require to log in, e.g., someone whom you send a Contract Notice, Test Request, etc. Contacts are project specific.
Users and Contacts are different:
- Users are set up with a username and password, and can login to CivilPro whereas
- Contacts are not allocated a username or password, and cannot login to CivilPro. They'll only be able to view email notifications that they receive (e.g. Contract Notices, Test Requests or Controlled Document Transmittals)
All Users linked to a project will be automatically appear in your Contacts register.
Important: If you have added a person in the Contacts register before inviting them as a User, you can promote the contact to a full user by following this process "Promote Contact to Full User".

1. Select a Project and navigate to the Contact register.
2. Click on "New Contact".
3. Enter the available details (e.g. name, position, email, company, etc) of the Contact. Click "Save".
4. You can now view the Contact on the register.
