Setting Up the Connection
The CivilPro team will set up the Teambinder connection as part of our configuration service with the Teambinder licensing.
These include the login details for authorised access to Teambinder and the Teambinder API. CivilPro supports three different methods for Teambinder sign-in authentication:
- Master username and password - A single account with permission to access Teambinder is used for all transfers of data. A second account (which can be set to the same as the first) is used for read only access when automating viewing of records directly in Teambinder.
- Individual username and password - each user must login with their own details to provide authentication to Teambinder. CivilPro does not store these details and they are only valid for as long as a Teambinder session lasts - usually between 4 and 24 hours before credentials are required again.
- Authentication by Teambinder - CivilPro redirects users to Teambinder for authentication. CivilPro does not even have to pass through user credentials, they are entered directly into Teambinder. User sessions last up to 30 days. This is the best authentication solution, however, it does require the registration of the CivilPro app with the Teambinder provider and configuration.
The connection information will be supplied by the person that administers the Teambinder you are connecting to.
- The Teambinder URL is where CivilPro makes queries to get and set data for your project.
- The Teambinder Alt URL is the URL of your normal Teambinder logon.
- The Lot Match pattern can be used if there is a standard transformation of the CivilPro lot number to a Teambinder Lot Number.
- Master Account details - these are only used if the Authentication Type is Master Username and Password.
