1. Download App

Download the App via this link:

Desktop Installer

If you receive a warning from your antivirus when running the installer, select the option to continue running the application. Our installer includes a code signing certificate that you can check if you have any doubts about its authenticity.

Before installing your download, it is important to unzip it. This can be done in your file explorer by:

  • selecting the file
  • right clicking and selecting
  • extract all
  • select the destination folder
  • open the unzipped folder, and double click the file to start the install

Important: After installing CivilPro Desktop, you must do Step 2 to link your Desktop to your Web App database.

2. Syncing your Desktop to your Web App database

Please refer to the following article on how to sync your Desktop with your Web App database: Authenticate via API on Desktop.

API Address: https://[yourcompany].civilpro.com - substitute [yourcompany] with your Company name - as it appears in the URL in the Web App. You can just copy and past from the address bar in CivilPro Web App sign-on page, excluding any text after '.com' as shown omitted in grey below:

  • https://toptiercontractors.civilpro.com/account/projects?returnUrl=

Refer to this article for more details - Authenticate via API on Desktop.

3. CivilPro Desktop Training

Your CivilPro installation can connect to a database server, or create local databases on your computer (standalone). Generally, you will operate connected to your database server for real world projects, but you will use a standalone database for training, or for projects where you have no internet connectivity and do not need to share your data easily. If you have not used CivilPro before, or haven't used it for a while, it is essential to run through the training in a standalone database - or at the very least read it.
