Test Properties

What are Test Properties?

Test Properties are a set of parameters used to define the standards of material behaviours that will be tested for use in the project as required by its specifications.

The Test Properties Register is a list of preset property groups that can be applied to Test Requests. When you create a Test Request for a concrete pour, it is much easier to apply a Test Property group to add the same additional information for each request including any default values.  For example, adding the group N25 concrete Test Property group would add properties of concrete class, number of batches, target slump, cement type etc. to the Test Request as shown in the screenshot below.

What is the purpose of a Test Property group?

The Test Properties are combined together into Test Property Groups and are applied with the associated Test Methods  to provide more context to the test results. These test results are typically used by clients to prove raw material deposits, tender for supply of construction materials, classify soils, determine the suitability of construction materials for specialized uses and inform the design of civil engineering works.

How to Set Up ?

You can set up your Test Property register by adding the Test Property individually or importing them from Repository (REPO)/other Project or as a CPX file , either via Cloud or Desktop (D).

Tips for Users :

  • Just like Test Methods, Test Property must be set up before you generate a Test Request.
  • Once they are applied in the Test Request, you can easily view their links to the Test Request under Related Items.
