Lot Mapping

What is Lot Mapping?

Lot Mapping is a way of visually representing your lots in CivilPro. This is useful for:
  1. Communicating lot positions so that users can easily find a lot by referring to design features
  2. Demonstrating coverage

Currently the following methods are available:

  1. Lot Mapping (cross section)
  2. Lot Mapping (plan)
  3. Manual markup

What is the Purpose of Lot Mapping?

Cross Section Mapping

Cross section mapping allows the creation of multi-layered schematics in cross section. These are accessed from QA Setup => Lot Mapping.

Users can create one or more lot map, with each Lot Map Section representing part of a control line between two chainages. Within each section, an ordered list of layers is created. A layer is linked to:
  1. A work type and/or
  2. A custom register item
CivilPro can then automatically detect which lots are linked to the specified work type/custom register item, and compile a list of lots to be displayed on the map. The list of lots can be then be modified to include or exclude specific lots, or it can be managed manually. The cross sectional map can then be configured to control the scale and font sizes.

Lot Mapping (Plan)
If you are using Cloud, your lots can be displayed on Google Maps - even if you have defined them using control line references. This is because CivilPro has a coordinate conversion tool that can be set up for your control lines in the control line register.

Manual Markup
In the Lot Register, there is a menu option for Lot Map. This will open a PDF editor where a plan can be opened, and a markup of the lot made manually. This is then saved to the Filestore.
