AltQvcText stands for Alternative Quality Verification Checklist Text. It is a column accessible in the Inspection Item List (under ITPs) which can be added using the column chooser.
This field is used for a more condensed and abbreviated version of the Inspection description, for viewing in the checklist. The purpose of doing this is to facilitate the site checking and viewing where a shorter description makes it easier for the inspector/engineer to go through the Inspection items on their mobile device.
Adding the AltQvcText
1. In the Inspection item register ( ITP Register > click the relevant ITP Doc No), drag the AltQvcText tab from column chooser to the heading toolbar.
2. Under the 'Open Detail' column, click on the 'Open' link of the relevant Inspection item.
Note: Do not enter the text in the field here.
3. Select the 'Checklist Template' tab at the top, then switch 'Override description for checklist' to 'Yes'. Enter the abbreviated description in the 'Home' section. Click 'Save'.
4. You can now view the AltQvcText on the register.
Deleting the AltQvcText
1. To delete the AltQvcText, open the Inspection item.
2. Select the 'Checklist Template' tab at the top, then switch 'Override description for checklist' to 'Yes'. Select the text in the 'Home' section and hit the 'Delete' key on your keyboard. Click 'Save'.
