ITP revisions are an essential part of managing ITPs that may require updating from time to time to meet the work specifications for each work lot.
CivilPro has added new tools to make managing ITP Revisions easier. The ITP Revision manager tools are available from the ITP register.
This process will show you how to:
- Create a New Revision
- Approve Revision
- Activate Revision
- Move Selection to Revision
- Move to Own ITP
- View Selected ITP Approval
Create a New Revision
1. Select the relevant project and navigate to the ITP register.
2. Select the relevant ITP on the register and click on the “Action on Selection” icon, then “View Revisions”. Alternatively, right-click on the register, and select “View Revisions” from the drop-down menu.
3a) In the Revision Manager, you can view the current version activated. Select the ITP of which you are going to make the revision. Then, click on the “Notebook” icon on the right panel.
3b) Click on “New Revision”.
Note: You cannot update or change an approved ITP, as any changes are reflected in the new revision and the previous version will be preserved as a revision copy.
4. In the Reference dialog box, the next sequential version number will auto-populate. Click “OK’’.
5. Click on the “ITP Doc Number” link to view and edit the Inspection items under the ITP.
6. Open the inspection item to edit it. Click “Save and Close”.
Approve Revision
7a. With the ITP selected, click on the “Notebook” icon on the right panel.
To approve the ITP, click on “Approve Revision”.
7b. Enter any relevant details in the ITP Approval Details field. Click “Save”.
Note: You can tell the ITP has been approved by the green square in the “Description” column.
Activate Revision
8a. To activate the revised ITP, select the ITP and click on “Activate Revision” from the same menu.
8b. Only one revision (usually the latest revision) of the ITP can be active at any one time. You can tell the active ITP by the “Date Activated” column.
Move Selection to Revision
9a. If you have previously duplicated an ITP and now would like to move this into your revisions, you can use the “Move Selection to Revision” option.
On the ITP register, select the duplicate ITP and click on the “Notebook” icon on the right panel, then “Move Selection to Revision”.
9b. Select the ITP to which you’ll be moving your duplicate ITP. ( This is usually another similar ITP that you want to consolidate with the revised version and have only one current version active.)
Tip: Use the scroll bar on the right to scroll up and down the list.
9c. Now, back on the ITP register, select the ITP ( the same as in 9b), click on the Notebook icon, then “View Revision”.
9d. You can now see the duplicate ITP is added to the revisions of this ITP. You can choose to update this ITP and activate it or let it remain inactive.
Note: Once an ITP is moved to revisions, click on the hyperlinked ITP Doc Number to open and update it, if necessary.
Move to Own ITP
10a. On the other hand, you can also move an ITP from revisions to its own ITP, if there is a requirement to update and create a separate ITP on its own.
On the same screen (as in 9d), select the ITP and click on the Notebook icon, then “Move to Own ITP”.
10b. The ITP will be moved from revisions to the ITP register.
Note: Moving an ITP from revisions to the ITP register means that the ITP will be activated.
View Selected ITP Approval
11) To view the details of the ITP approval, from the ITP register, select the ITP, click on the Notebook icon, then “View Selected ITP Approval”.
